Turks come to Christ through dreams

In Turkey dreams of Jesus are playing a vital role in men and women coming to Christ. It is estimated that for about 70% of those who have become believers, a dream was part of their journey to faith. One young man had a dream in which Christ appeared to him. He felt troubled and wanted to tell his friend but was afraid of how his friend would react to such news. Eventually he plucked up the courage to talk to him about it and was amazed when his friend admitted he'd had a similar dream that same week. Not knowing what to do, they went on Sunday to a large Orthodox church in the centre of the city but were unable to find any answers to their questions. About to give up, they spotted an advertisement for New Testaments in a national newspaper. They called the number and were put in contact with a foreign believer working in the area where they live. In the course of their first meeting, the men asked the worker what he could tell them about this Jesus they had both dreamed about. The worker showed them a DVD of the life of Jesus and afterwards shared the gospel with them. As soon as one of the men had finished hearing it, he said he wanted to become a follower of Jesus. A few weeks later his friend also made the decision to accept Jesus into his life.

Turkish Study Bible update

Yesterday (17 January, 2007) we finalized the gospel of John and with that we've finished all the editorial work on the study notes for the New Testament. The two editorial committees seem to have settled with the new arrangement pretty fast, which helped a lot to produce more within the same amount of time. Everybody is quite happy about this new position.

We would to thank you all for your contribution at your end and we praise our Lord for His provision for this great work of His in this land.
